She Was Given The Honorific Title Kawkab Al-Sharq كوكب الشرق "Star Of The East". Oum Kalthoum Was Known For Her Vocal Ability And Style. She Sold Over 80 Million Records Worldwide. Oum Kalthoum Is Considered A National Icon In Her Native Egypt And Has Been Dubbed As "The Voice Of Egypt" And "Egypt's Fourth Pyramid" Oum Kalthoum Has Been A Significant Influence On A Number Of Musicians Both In The Arab World And Beyond. Among Others Jah Wobble Has Claimed Her As A Significant Influence On His Work.
